Windows XP Support Lifecycle

Microsoft are soon to decommission support services for their Windows XP Operating System (including all revisions and service pack releases). This news comes following the recent launch of Windows 7 and Windows 2008 Server Operating Systems.
- Support for Windows XP without a Service Pack: September 30, 2004
- Support for Windows XP Service Pack 1 and 1a: October 10, 2006
- Support for Windows XP Service Pack 2: July 13, 2010
All Windows XP support, including security updates and security-related hotfixes will be terminated on April 8, 2014
